Withholding student hours for nonpayment of tuition



What states withhold student hours for nonpayment of tuition to the school?

Arkansas
California

Idaho – only if it’s part of the graduation requirements
Illinois

Indiana
Kansas

Massachusetts

Missouri - a student is not allowed to take the State Board Exam unless tuition is paid. The hours are not witheld, but the student's hours are only good for five years from the time they start school, so if a student doesn't pay outstanding balances, the hours are lost after five years.

Oregon

Pennsylvania - it's the school's decision to withhold transcripts of hours if a student owes money, however the state does not get involved.
